Not Amused

Last night I played a great show at Main Street Crossing in Tomball, Texas with Jack Saunders and Dan Scott. We had a real good turn out and an overall great time. I got some wonderful feed back from the folks who came out. Its nights like these that keep me going with all this music stuff and working the old “nine to five”. Sherri and I got home around 11:00 pm and I quickly made my way to bed. It took me awhile to wind down but I finally drifted off to sleep. At some point in the night a wonderful lyric came to me. I was singing a song with a great hook and I became conscious to the fact that I really needed to get up and write it down. Well being the lazy ass that I can be, I told myself that I would surely remember it in the morning when I awoke and would jot it down then.
Of course this morning I awoke and all I could remember was that the hook line had the word “man” in it twice. So now there will be pen and paper on my nightstand or maybe a small hand held recorder to catch what I’m sure would have been a trillion dollar hit. The first time my muse has visited me in my sleep and I just blow her off. I hope she’s not pissed. I hope she will come back. I hope she’s reading this.
