Fiat Blackmails Chrysler

Apparently the people that run Chrysler are even more stupid than I thought they were. Seems Chrysler has been working on a deal where they would give Fiat a 35% stake in the company under the condition that Chrysler pays Fiat $3 billion dollars. Huh? Let me see if I have this right. Someone wants to aquire 35% of my company but I have to give them $3 billion first? To make matters worse, Chrysler needs the good old US government to give them the $3 billion so they can give it to Fiat. Of course for the $3 billion Fiat would provide technology and vehicles that Chrysler could build and sell in the US. Well that makes sense. Everybody knows how great Fiat cars are. WTF?

Inauguration Day

Like most everyone, I hope, I was inspired by the historical ceremonies that took place today in Washington. It was cool to see the Bible that was used for the Lincoln inauguration up close. Obama is one hell of a speaker and I hope he can make all of those terrorist sons-a-bitches fall in love with him the way the rest of us have and decide to call it quits. The most interesting tidbit of the day for me was Dick Cheney's little accident he had yesterday while moving into his new digs. Is the fall from grace so drastic that the ex-vice president has to pick up and move his own friggin boxes?
